Weight gain during pregnancy?

How much weight you should gain depends on your body mass index (BMI) before pregnancy. BMI is a measure of your weight in relation to your height.

  • Normally, a woman should gain 9-11 kg during her pregnancy.
  • After the first trimester, a pregnant woman gains around 2 kg every month or 0.5 kg per week.
